March 27, 2017 Perhaps I should add better sleep into my plan for the Spartan Ultra Beast training. My FitBit said that I nailed 4 hours and 3 minutes. Snitch. I trained my client at 6:45 this morning, whisked my son off to school and came back home to make a decent size portion. My caloric intake was under 1600 calories yesterday. For a typical person, this isn't bad at all but my insane regimen will not hear for such fuckery. One of these days, I'll blog about my terrible experience with under eating while training and stressed. Knowing me, this will probably happen this week! Well, if you're interested, here's my workout below: I managed to drench through both sides of my shirt today, including my sports bra. This is something that only happens when I run half marathons in the heat or anything beyond a marathon. Felt gross as fuck but great to see the hard work that I put in. The workout took a bit over a hour and a half excluding the run. Something tells me that my Fitbit is either going to love or hate the fuck out of me. Managed to nail 18,000 steps before 3pm and I felt desperate to get food into my system. Here's my food and face for the day: Drained...I know that I'll adapt to this training after a week or two but I could use a few batteries to recharge myself. A part of me is considering a protein shake in the morning or creating some sort of power smoothie to get the calories needed. As long as I take a multivitamin, I don't feel too terrible about not hitting the calorie goal. I just don't want to revisit that one time in April. Yesterday, I was a few cookies under 2200 calories, which put me 700 calories away from my food goal. Check out my entry here on MyFitnessPal.
Revising the regimen is truly me feel like a rookie. I haven't figured out if that's a bad thing. From what I read on the Internet about the Spartan Races, I should learn my strengths and weaknesses and work hard to improve those weak points. I know that if my mind shuts down, I'm screwed way before my body ever decides to quit on me. Some time this week, I'll be constructing a list of items needed for the Spartan Ultra Beast. Cheers to crashing to sleep on the sofa because the workouts are kicking your ass.

So did you manage to complete the Ultra? I completed an Ultra in Edinburgh over the weekend so I'm curious to see if you managed yours.
