Running & Fitness Adventures of 2016

Despite my weight fluctuations, it never gave me an excuse to stop running or feel discouraged enough to leave this sport behind.  I LOVE what I do and even if I stopped running, fitness has become a part of my livelihood.  I will continue to keep pressing on until I achieve all that my heart desires.

Spartan Race, Citi Field, April 2016 & June 2016

This is the first year that I decided to take up obstacle course races.  I am terrified and intrigued at the same time.  I wanted to do more with my running and graduate in time to harder things.  I think this is one step closer to my biathlon and triathlon.  Who knows what I'll do next.

My Metamorphosis - July 2014

I lost most of my weight between 2013 to 2014.  Around this point, I wanted to do something special to show how hard I worked to get to this point.  In turn, W. Eric Snell of E. Snell Design, took some photos of me to showcase parts of my personality and new way of life.  I made a specific request for him to not do much to my photos, which meant keeping in folds of fat and most of my stretch marks.  As a photographer myself, I realize how much we don't see our true self as beautiful.  For a change, I was learning how to be happy with who I was as a whole.  Some of the photos here are part of my yoga journey.

Everybody Has a Story & Certainly a Beginning

I hope you wasn't looking for a bunch of sad pictures of me being fat.  HA!  My spirit was always here but it didn't shine as bright as it does now.  This album is to serve a purpose of showing you where I came from so you can see the journey from a transparent point of view. Some pictures might show me a bit distraught but not many.
